Our Story
Refined was born from a vision of creating a space where maturity and artistry intersect. We believe dance is a lifelong pursuit and can be started at any age. Our studio is dedicated to cultivating an elevated environment where technical excellence and creative expression thrive in harmony, allowing dancers to explore movement with both discipline and freedom.
Owner and director, Brittany Scott, began her dance journey as an adult in the Raleigh area, an experience that deeply shapes the vision behind Refined. What began as a beginner ballet class at the age of twenty quickly grew into a lasting devotion to the art of dance. Over the past decade, Brittany has trained in ballet, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary, and tap. Her personal journey informs Refined’s mission: to create an inspiring and welcoming environment where adults of all skill levels can discover and develop their love of dance. Through Refined, Brittany is committed to expanding access to high-quality dance education for adults throughout Wake County and the surrounding communities.
